Our program is virtually identical from location to location. The indoor activities are the same and there are only minor differences in the outdoor activities depending on the physical layout of each school campus. At the warmer sites, we do offer water activities more often. Our little San Franciscans don’t seem to miss getting wet.

Steve, our in-house human calculator, has developed a proprietary system to accurately predict our average daily attendance. We build a cushion into our projections to ensure that we have more than enough staff and equipment on hand. In 32 years, Steve has never been wrong.

Campers are free to choose their activities throughout the day, literally on a minute-to-minute basis. We have counselors supervising all of the common areas at camp, so campers can move freely and safely between the activities. Campers get support in choosing activities from their Huddles, the Camp Concierge, and the rest of the staff. Camp is like an ant colony, everyone always knows exactly where they’re going.

We’re building communities with the Huddle. The idea is simple – kids gather several times a day in small groups with the same counselor to chat, meet friends and receive announcements. As a result, kids feel connected and supported by their peers and counselors while having the freedom Steve and Kate’s is known for.

For safety and security, all of the activities we offer are on-site. We prefer to bring in the action with our Weekly and Daily Specials. Weekly Specials include bumper cars, climbing walls and more. Daily Specials are everything from a mural painting workshop to a Big-Cat show featuring a King Cheetah.

Nope. If you have at least one prepaid Day Pass per child in your account, you are guaranteed the space at camp and can show up whenever it works for you. It’s been this way for all 32 years of camp.

Daily Game Plan

Please note: We may make minor adjustments to the daily game plan as we near the summer.

7:30-9:30: Indoor and Outdoor Recreational Activities and Clubs

As campers arrive, we add organized activities that take place both indoors and outdoors. Drama games, yoga and field games are just a few examples.

9:30-9:45: Huddle

Campers gather in groups with their Huddle counselor to chat, meet friends and receive announcements.

9:45-10:00: Kick-Off

The whole camp gets together for a spirited and theatrical kick-off to the day.

10:00-12:00: Main Activities

Campers choose from the full range of activities including the studios, weekly and daily specials, recreational activities and sports. They are free to move between activities.

12:00-12:30: Huddle and Lunch

Campers sit with their Huddles for a family style lunch and choose from 5 different entrees daily.

12:30-1:00: Outdoor Games

Campers participate in a variety of high-energy outdoor games.

1:00-1:30: Steve & Kate's Camper Showcase

A celebration of camper creativity, each day of the week is dedicated to a different studio. Before an all-camp audience, campers exhibit their work in runway shows, live performances, screenings, and slideshows. To top it off, we sing Steve & Kate’s style and spin for The Best Day Ever.

1:30-3:30: Main Activities

Campers once again choose from a full range of activities including the studios, Weekly and Daily Specials, recreational activities and sports. They are free to move between activities.

3:30-3:45: Huddle

A final check-in. Campers gather in groups with their Huddle counselor.

3:45-4:00: Steve & Kate's Game Show

The whole camp gets together for our own wheel-of-fortune-style gameshow for prizes.

4:00-6:00: Indoor and Outdoor Recreational Activities and Clubs

Legos, board games, basketball, capture-the-flag are just some of the activities available until camp ends.
